I did not intend for microblading to be the centrepiece of my first Seoul trip. But after seven months of research, a WhatsApp exchange with AMORJ, and a two-month waitlist, it became exactly that. I built five days around one appointment — and came home with the best brows of my life.
For context: I'm from Berlin. Berlin has excellent everything — including a decent number of microblading studios. But "decent" is exactly the word I'd use. The results felt technically fine but aesthetically flat. What I was seeing from AMORJ's Instagram was something else entirely: brows that looked like they grew that way.
I'd also had semi-permanent brows done in Munich three years ago with a pigment that had faded into a slightly orange-red cast. I needed both a correction and a new procedure on top of damaged skin. AMORJ's website was the only one I found that addressed this case directly.
Airport limousine bus to Gangnam (~90 min). Walk Apgujeong Rodeo Street. Light dinner — no alcohol. Pre-appointment: stop retinol, no aspirin. Early night.
10am booking. 45-min consultation + 90-min procedure. Brows look slightly intense immediately after — completely normal. Afternoon: slow café walk in Garosu-gil. Rest and follow aftercare instructions.
Bought 3 months of skincare for the same price as 2 products at home. Quick facial at a Myeongdong clinic. Brows: healing day 2 — kept them clean and dry.
Intentional non-beauty day. Historical Seoul. Korean BBQ for dinner. Brows already looking more natural — the dark phase fades fast.
Last café stop in Hongdae. Exceptional duty-free skincare selection at the airport. Flight via Frankfurt. Brows already look softer by day 4.

I arrived at Seolleung Station on a Tuesday morning. Five-minute walk from exit 5. The studio was quiet and methodical — not the mega-clinic aesthetic I'd half expected.
My artist photographed my brows from multiple angles before touching anything, then printed two reference images of arch options. When I pointed to the more dramatic one, she shook her head politely but firmly: "This won't suit your face long-term." She was right, obviously.
The correction of my old Munich pigment was the part I'd been most anxious about. The Soft Emboss technique deposits pigment at a shallower depth, which meant it could layer over the faded remains without them affecting the color. She explained everything while working. The whole appointment was narrated — which I, as a German, appreciated enormously.
